Berkeley Chickens are fed a natural diet of cereals such as wheat and maize cereals with soya and other oil seed proteins, and no added growth promoters or antibiotics. We use a slower growing strain of chicken which means the bird takes longer to mature and subsequently develops better flavour and succulence. With more windowed housing and using lower density stocking rates, our birds can behave more naturally and move about more freely.

Berkeley Livestock is The Calf Company Rearing Unit and a commercial unit, producing in excess of 1000 calves per year. These calves are reared to the highest standards of animal welfare creating our own standard of excellence. At Berkeley Livestock, we evaluate all the products we supply, before offering them to clients.
We conduct trials to ensure they will perform well under environmental conditions. We feed calves using all common feeding systems such as group housed, trough feeding, feeding in individual pens and computerised feeding.
